The Department of Biology at St. Mary’s College of Maryland in Historic St. Mary’s City invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2017. Teaching responsibilities include Coastal Ecology, participating in the biology core courses of Principles of Biology and Ecology & Evolution, an environmentally focused non-majors biology course, and an upper division elective in their specialty. It is expected that the faculty member will teach upper division courses that contain an environmental studies focus. Ph.D. required; postdoctoral training and/or teaching experience preferred. Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
