At our Spring 2016 meeting, it was the SEERS Board’s extreme pleasure to bestow Honorary Membership on Dennis Allen, both for his exceptional contributions to the Society and for his outstanding work in the field of coastal and estuarine research. In addition to his many scholarly contributions, Dr. Allen has been a member and active participant of SEERS continuously since 1978, serving as Program Chair in 1984-1986 and President from 1990-1992. He also served as President-Elect, President, and Past-President of the Coastal and Estuarine Research Federation (then known as the Estuarine Research Federation) from 1999-2005.
